| Brazil expands its share in global dermatology |

In consonance with the new vigorous Brazilian reality in the international scenario and inspired
in the Winter Congresses of the Academy of Dermatology, a highly successful conference held by the World Health Academy
(WHA) in Europe, the Brazilian Society of Dermatology (SBD), jointly with WHA, will hold From December 9 through 11,
for the first time the international conference 1st Summer Meeting of Dermatology Brazil 2010, in Salvador, Bahia.
The main objective of this conference is to disseminate up-to-date dermatological knowledge through Forums, Symposia,
and Conferences, gathering leading experts from renowned dermatological centers in the world, thus enabling experience sharing.
Hundreds of dermatologists, including Brazilian and foreign physicians, are expected to attend and, as the word of order is integration,
one of the novelties will be encouraging the participation of young dermatologists (graduated less than 10 years ago), through economic
packages that will enable the presence of everyone.

We chose the city of Salvador, birthplace of Brazil’s first School of Medicine, to host the conference because of its rich history, folklore, music, literature, cuisine, and its happy and hospitable people, in addition to the welcoming and naturally favorable tropical weather.
We are working for this conference to have a relaxed atmosphere, with lots of camaraderie, learning, experience sharing, and a favorable environment to make new friendships with colleagues from many parts of the word, thus fulfilling the project of encouraging the internationalization of Brazilian Dermatology.
